Entropay

Payment System Entropay

Entropay is an international payment system popular in European countries. Paysafecard was launched in 2000 in the UK, and is still in high demand in the UK.

Entropay is a virtual prepaid card payment system. Entropay cards are not issued in plastic and are suitable for online payments only (in-store payments can be made if the card has NFC functionality). The peculiarity of this card is that it is attached to your online account and you can only spend from this account the amount you have deposited.

Entropay also works with Visa and MasterCard, so you can pay with your card wherever these payment systems are in use, including online casinos. All you have to do is to select payment by Visa or MasterCard, and enter your virtual card details exactly the same way as you would if you were using a regular credit card.

The Entropay payment system has several advantages and disadvantages. Consider the benefits first:

  • Entropay cards are useful for making payments on sites you do not trust. You have to create a virtual card and transfer to it exactly the amount you need to pay for the service. The virtual card can then be “deleted” as if it had never existed. Subsequently a new virtual card can be easily “created”;
  • Entropay allows you to do all the basic bank card operations: transfer money from regular cards to virtual ones, between virtual ones, pay for online purchases, etc. The user data is seriously protected, so you don’t have to worry about data leakage;
  • Card registration procedure is standard and uncomplicated: you have to fill in your details, general information as well as the amount and source of the funds on the official website. On the same website, you can then top up your card – this procedure does not take much time.
    In spite of the numerous advantages, this payment system has a number of drawbacks, especially for the residents of the CIS countries:
  • There is a fee for transferring funds between cards (1.95% for a transfer from one account to another and $6 for a transfer to an ordinary credit card). A fee is also charged when transferring funds to an online casino account;
  • The Entropay card can only be used through your phone or computer, which imposes restrictions on its use;
  • Withdrawals to the Entropay virtual card are not possible in all casinos.
